Daniela Kovacic

Daniela Kovacic (1983) is a figurative painter born and raised in the Chilean Patagonia and is currently working in Chicago. Her work explores different topics around the human condition and self-identity. Largely through the depictions of women and children.

Kovacic has received prestigious awards and scholarships such as Fulbright, Becas Chile, Robert Gamblin Painting Award, and New York Academy of Art scholarships and residencies. She was one of the ten finalists for The Bennett Prize 2019 where selected paintings were exhibited for two years in different museums and establishments around the USA and won the Eben Demarest Award in 2021. Her latest achievement being the Sheng Xinyu Award.

Daniela Kovacic’s work has been exhibited and published internationally since early on in her career and continues to evolve within her art practice. She has a Masters in Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art and a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts from Universidad Finis Terrae, Chile.
